Thank you to all the outstanding individuals who submitted artwork for the Heart of a Pagan cover contest. The submission deadline has passed, and the cover works are being reviewed - but it's not too late to sneak one in! For more details, contact Holly at marcusantonius1@cox.net.

If your image is selected you will receive an exclusive contract with The Paper Tiger to sell prints of the work. You will receive credit for the cover both on the promotional material as well as in the novel.

Your artwork will grace the cover of Heart of a Pagan at it's official launch in New York City at the beginning of 2003. The image will be used on promotional material as part of a nationwide campaign.

TIFF Images Preferred

Image must be in color.

Image only, no text (including title) unless integral to the design of the image. (You may submit graphic page and titles page separately.)

PC and MAC disks okay.

Images must have 300 pixels per inch.

Full Bleed Images:  (Full Cover) The finished front cover measures 6.125 by 9.25 inches.  If a full-bleed image is used then it must be larger than this (by about .25 inch) to allow for the cover to wrap around the edges of the board.

If you want your submission returned, please include a SASE with your entry.

Swoop - the hero of Andrew Bernstein's novel, Heart of a Pagan, is not  only a visionary, a philosopher, and a genius - he's the world's greatest athlete. And he's on a mission from the gods - the pagan gods of Ancient Greece - to inspire the worship and achievement of mental, physical, and moral excellence.

Thus, using basketball as a metaphor, through the irrepressible character of Swoop, and the unstoppable, unbeatable Swoop Troop, this  story takes us from the conquests of Alexander the Great and the feats of Achilles and Odysseus to the basketball court - and back again.
